How to Stop Snoring: 8 Remedies Recommended by Sleep Specialists

Sleep is a beautiful thing for our bodies and brains. But in reality, sleep can sometimes feel anything but beautiful. We might toss and turn, drool, sweat, and snore, all of which can affect our partners' sleep quality as well. When half of adults are prone to snoring — and a quarter do so regularly in their sleep — anti snoring remedies may be on your mind. “Snoring occurs when your airway or throat relaxes while sleeping,” says Dr. Carlos M. Why Some People Snore More Than Others

Depending on the person, these issues can also make snoring a short- or long-term issue. And it's possible for all of these factors, from alcohol consumption to allergies to sleep positions, to contribute to snoring at the same time. If snoring is a more frequent concern, you may wish to invest more money in a remedy. Personal preference also plays a role. When choosing a product — or products — to fit your needs, consider these factors:

  • If you’re only prone to snoring after a few beers or when you have a stuffy nose, for example, the economical, portable nasal device or even a pack of nasal strips will likely do.
